My World Tuesday - Sa Baba

At last a sunny day in Vienna again!
But the wind is very cold and brisk!
We eat at SABABA at Rotenturmstraße,
an oriental pub
which is intended to bring the atmosphere of Tel Aviv's Disengoff Street to Vienna!
The brisk wind blowing at St. Stephen's square makes us return home immediately
without taking a short walk through Vienna's first district.
Some other time...

More flowers!

And another rainy Sunday morning in Vienna,
St. Stephen's Square, Fiaka carriages waiting for a ride

Have a happy new week !

Thank you for all your attention!

TODAY'S FLOWERS

I picked my Today's Flowers at the Naschmarkt,
Vienna's most popular market.
It is about 1,5 km long and offers products from all around the globe.

Evening walk along the river Danube

Above: Skilful crane driver in his cabine :)))

My friend Brigitte and I took an evening walk along the river Danube today,
starting at Donaukraftwerk Freudenauand walking along the Southern bank of the Danube to Praterbrücke,
passing by Vienna's container harbour,
and a crane driver showing off with his skills on the huge machine when he saw two ladies walking by (together at least 100 years on four legs plus a 5 year old dog:)))
which made us smile a lot, very refreshing, hehehe :)))
and with the white swans escorting us!

And these tulips are my hubby's birthday flowers and I think they were grown in Holland,
or maybe in Skagit Valley where my friend MaryBeth lives?
Well, will we ever know ????

Sheryl Crow

"LOVE IS ALL THERE IS "

LYRICS: Everyone is talking about me
How my heart is broken
But they don't see

When you're lonely inside
The world looks so carefree
When you're lonely inside
You just can't see

Does anybody want you
Does anybody need you
The question is
Does anybody want you
Does anybody need you
The question is
All I really know for certain, babe
Is that Love Is All There Is

Every now and then
There comes a time
Someone comes along
To change your mind

You believe it's unwise
To give in to careless dreams
You believe it's a prize
You'll never win

Does anybody want you
Does anybody need you
The question is
Does anybody want you
Does anybody need you
The question is
All I really know for certain, babe
Is that Love Is All There Is

You believe it's unwise
To give in to careless dreams
If you don't see that is why
You will never know

Does anybody want you
Does anybody need you
The question is
Does anybody want you
Does anybody need you
The question is
All I really know for certain, babe
Is that Love Is All There Is

In the night

Fountain of Angels

The Fountain of Angels in Vienna's 4th district shows a girl and two prisoners beneath her. It was built in 1893 by the sculptor Anton Wagner to remind of a 500 year old tale.
The tale of brave 18 year old Elsbeth who trapped two dangerous robbers in the woods nearby and brought them to Vienna where they were finally sentenced to death.
Many men hadalready lost their lives before Elsbeth caught the robbers.

Please don't ask me why the fountain is called Fountain of Angels while it shows two devils and a heroine :)
The sponsor of the fountain was a man named Engel !

Here you can see a picture of the complete fountain!
