SWF - Rainy evening

How to spend a rainy evening?
Shoot some photos on your way home through the wet windows of the tram,

examine the files with your favourite photos of your living room,
admire the old dried roses and the nice arrangement with the lamp,

remember that you could watch your favourite TV series on DVD,
open a small bottle of red wine and fill a glass,

remember that the blackbird is happy when it rains,

the blackbird ... sitting on the tree and watching the sky,
oh,
watching the sky...
Remember that on this rainy evening,
you could watch the sky
not only in Vienna, but everywhere around the globe!
Happy Sky Watch Friday, friends!
:)
You saw:
Vienna State Opera and Ring; Karlskirche; my flat; bird on 1st district Vienna chestnut tree.

Simply the best way to spend a rainy evening imo. Can I come over for some red wine next time there's a downpour? :)

A lovely post Maria, yes, there is just so much to do on a rainy evening. Somehow you forgot to mention the chocolate.
Wonderful colours in your photos.

Hi Maria :)

Your narration makes me dream of going for train ride. Unfortunately we don't have trains here. I remember when I was young and living in Chennai I used to travel in trains. It was very exciting.

It looks like there was a heavy down pour in Vienna. The scenery is a bit bleak.

I feel sorry for those birds. It looks like they have not eaten any thing the whole day. They are waiting anxiously for the rain to stop.

Your house looks enchanting and beautiful. If I was a worm, I could have crawled into your house for a better look.

It looks like you have almost finished the wine before taking the photo because very little is left in the huge glass. Any way if you don't want to drink the remaining wine, you can send it accros to me :) No,NO,NO! Don't be upset. You can drink the remaining wine also:) I am quite happy and contended looking at it :)

I wish you a bright and sunny morning tomorrow :)

Yu're right, Marcia. Staying home is the better way to spend a rainy evening.
Your little black bird makes me shiver just looking him. But your picture is so poetic, it looks like all is done with light and shadows.
Watching the first picture of Vienna reminds me Paris. Same traffic, buses, buildings architecture ..... and rain.
Have a great week-end, cosy at home if you can.

Hi Maria!

In tokyo it's been raining this week.
I can't do laundry!
but there are a lot of people who have a hay fever in Japan.
when it rains, they're more comfortable than sunny days.
I don't have hay fever though.

Maria - Found your blog via SWF, my first time participating. My heart caught in my throat when I saw your first photo - I lived in Wien briefly in college and it brought back many memories. Of youth gone by, primarily! Wistfulness, enhanced by the rain and the solitary blackbird. Thank you, I haven't thought about that time for a long while! Mmmm, I can almost taste the 'melange' I used to drink daily at the Cafe Prueckel...

Maria, the first photograph is very lovely! It is a perfect depiction of a rainy day but it looks romantic and poignant because it prompted me to remember yesteryears. Very comforting! Then you followed it with a warm photograph of your door - yes, a perfect evening indeed. A good life. What blessings.
