I'm so happy, I received a beautiful new award this morning!

SWF - Some random shots of Vienna's sky

In the evening I leave downtown Vienna (1, Lugeck) and walk towards the Danube passing by the Riesenrad in Vienna's Prater.
As a passionate skywatcher I notice that the sky turns from evening blue into dark night bleu :)

Aha, so you know the Riesenrad from the Third Man?
More skies, brighter skies:

Good night (Vienna)

Thank you for joining us on our stroll through Vienna's Naschmarkt :)

My World Tuesday - Vienna's Naschmarkt

Vienna is a crazy city.

See and judge yourself.
Step down from Maria Hilferstraße to Naschmarkt.
See the flea market and the Jugendstil villas.
See city traffic at Gumpendorfer Straße and Naschmarkt's market stools.
See Che Guevara's flag next to the Austrian state flag.
And besides:
Find all the exotic treasures of the Orient close beside Spanish strawberries and Italian olives - and apples from Austria!

And a voracious little dog...

My bad dog!

The Naschmarkt has existed since the 16th century when mainly milkbottles were sold....

More pink

Ithink cyclamen are one of the most delicate flowers I know.
And they remind me of flamingos!

Flowers Today - Primroses and pink flames!

This year's winter is still cold and snowy in Central Europe.
No early snowdrops looking out of the snow as they already do in England!
No warming Gulf Stream, just continental weather!

Therefore I post indoor primroses and some pink flames to warm up our hearts, feet, and ... souls :)

My Dog Model

Mmm, what ya say about my dog D'Ora!
She's playing "Dog Model" again!
Wearing my bra!
Honestly: I did not do it!
She did it all on her own!

She's quite a star! See her portfolio:

Brenda's Photo Challenge - Signs of Spring?

DEFINITELY NO SIGNS OF SPRING IN DRAB VIENNA!
Try your luck at
http://www.brendaphotochallenge.blogspot.com/
to find some signs of spring somewhere else :(

I took these pictures when I went to a department store at
MARIAHILFERSTRASSE
to buy another electric heater for the cold office.
We had 13,5 ° C last week.
Why? Ask our management!

My World Tuesday - Snowfall in Vienna

Some snowflakes in Vienna create a lovely atmosphere and inspire me to take some pictures of Karlskirche, one of the most interesting baroque churches.

HISTORY:
In 1713,
one year after the last great plague epidemic, Charles VI,
Empress Maria-Theresia's father, pledged to build a church.
Thus Johann Bernhard Fischer von Erlach, the most influential Austrian architect of the Baroque period, built Karlskirche,
one of the most interesting baroque churches north of the Alps.
