I QUIT SMOKING

Today I celebrate 7 months without a single cigarette!
I quit smoking on 13 May 2008!
Imagine how proud I am!

And what got me motivated?

John Cleese!

Click on the picture for watching the short video!
HE'S SO CUTE!

...but not all are cremated, some of them are buried...

Hello Maria ;)

Congratulations! It is a great acivement. It needs a lot of will power.

After all what is smoking? It is jeopardising health and burning hard earned money which can be put to better use.

I hope a time will come when you will be able to say without any remorse that you don't smoke.

Wish you a wonderful day :)

Well done you!!!!
Congratulations.
I'm afraid I still sneak the odd Gitane (French cigarette)when I get the chance
but never until after 6pm........
The photos of the Christmas decorations in Vienna are so gorgeous.
Maybe better than New York - or different anyway.

Ja, Maria hast du den grossen
Schritt gemacht? Good on you.

I really empathize with smokers that can't quit. Unlike a cup of coffee, and besides the addictive nature of nicotene, smoking becomes a reflexive part of ones daily routine, and often revolves around stress and/or social situations. That being said, I find it alarming how much smoking has been vilified everywhere. You practically have to leave every place you are if you want to smoke. And I am not a smoker. It's a big cultural change that we probably won't know what it means until historians tell us.
