Very beautiful rose. It looks like a single rose and one of the old, old-fashioned ones. I have one that is really very old and nothing bothers it. Not heat, nor freezing temperatures, and it can be overgrown with wild violets and is in excellent shape when you scrape the violets away. It has no bugs that eat it like aphids do. It is the perfect rose for me and it looks like you have one of them. Do you know if it is?

Unfortunately, it is not a rose growing in my garden :( because I live in the centre of the city in a flat without a garden...

But probably the rose on the picture is very old because it grows in Vienna in a park called "Volksgarten". This park was already opened in 1820 and is famous for its rose gardens and the monument for empress Elisabeth of Austria (Sissi).
My rose is one of hundreds of different kinds of roses growing there. They all wear name tags and I will try to find the rose again and check its name!

Perfect indeed! Not a blemish in it. A beautiful flower, does not look like a hybrid. Simply elegant.
