Last weekend, we ascended a mountain called the RAX,
about 95 km southwest of Vienna and about 2000 meters high.
First it was sunny, but the peak was covered by thick fog.
The wind was icy and sharp and we were glad to reach the refuge.
I am always happy when I am in the mountains,especially when there are fixed rope routes...
BTW, the sky was unique...

Looks like chilly weather for August but you were at a high altitude. I LOVE being in the mountains in summer. ;-)

I can understand that it is exiting to walk in the mountains when there is a fog! Kind of mysterious!

WOW! You were right up there in the clouds - amazing photos and scenes! I can see why you enjoy climbing. Our family once climbed in the Bavarian Alps - the mountain we climbed was 1600 metres; we started at 700 metres - good terrain overall and we didn't need any special equipment. It was a wonderful experience. At the top there was food and drink.
