A nice sunset after the rain

This week I took an evening walk through the city.
I started at Hofburg, the light looked promising.

Sepia tones in der Burg!

A mauve sky over Heldenplatz and Rathaus.

The rain had left little lakes on the lawn.

Victorious Archduke Charles and the Neue Burg make nice reflections in the puddles.

My doggy poses in front of the Leopold Wing of Hofburg :)

The colours of the sky deepen.

The ducks are swimming in their sky-coloured pool!

Empress Sissi's monument looks unreal in the twilight.

But in the nearby Rosegarden,
the evening light caresses Sissi's roses after the rain.

I can tell you're not working LOL this is still your vacation, right? The first photo is really full of atmosphere and so is the pic with the duck! Nice to see you're enjoying your time - thanks for sharing!

I cannot think of another city with such a close concentration of beautiful architecture in its very heart. Rome is ruins and a lot of grime, but Vienna is all white and shiny, you have lilting waltzes in your step as you walk along. Beautiful post.

Hi Maria:)

Greetings:)

Many thanks for the tour and showing some of the lovely buildings and beautiful skies with awesome colors.

I felt your dog was a little confused. He is wondering how is it possible for the Archduke to be on the pedestal and inside the water at the same time:)

The flowers are gorgeous.

Your untiring efforts to show case Vienna and it beauty amazes me. Of course, I aware that you love walking with your dog- sun or rain.

Have a wonderful day Maria:)
