My World Tuesday

I live with my husband and a cute little dog in Vienna, Austria.
I'd love to show you around!
Last Sunday we spent the afternoon on the outskirts of our city.
From Kahlenberg you have a beautiful view over the vineyards.

Over there you can see Leopoldsberg,
the second hill situated in the West of Vienna.

We spent the afternoon between the vineyards enjoying the autumn sun and the peaceful atmosphere.

Then we walked down the hills towards the city.

Please enlarge the above picture, it is my favourite!

Here in Kahlenbergerdorf, we reached the banks of the river Danube.
What you see on the other side of the river is still the city of Vienna.
It has nearly 2 million inhabitants!
That's big for an Austrian city!

What a beautiful autumn day!
The wine leaves had already turned yellow and red!

Go and check out more MyWorld images at the MyWorld Site!

Oh no, the third picture is my favourite. I love the little hamlets and churches. When Clare and I travelled around the alps in 1995 she repremanded me constantly for saying "Oh how quaint" every corner looked like a post card. And I'm loving travelling in your world! Cute dawg too!

Your favorite is maybe mine, too. But I also love the red and yellow wine leaves. My parents went to Austria a few times when I was younger (without me!), and they commented how the grapevines were always called "wine."

Your world is beautiful!

A beautiful scenery. I have never been to Vienna, but in 1999 me and some friends went to Schladming and Ramsau for the Nordic World Ski Championships.
I would love to visit your home town :-)

I enjoyed walking with you in your world. My autumn walk was in a very different sort of country. But it's fun seeing so many of those new worlds.

eThank you for the wonderful tour. This 2nd week of meme really makes us appreciate the many places that we don't usually see or ever had a chance to visit like the one you showed me in this post. Hope you get to have time to check my world too. Another great job and more to come in the coming weeks.

Maria, the views from Kahlenberg are lovely and your colourful vine leaf collage an autumn dream. Vinyards in late autumn are a delight and I'm sure you enjoyed your lovely walk.
Don't worry about all that cooking, chocolate is a great diet, it is full of endorfins, endorfins make you happy and happy people don't shoot their husbands!

Hi maria!
yeah, it' so beautiful!!
Wine must be incredible made from grapes there!
Do you drink a lot?
I heard western people can drink much more than Japanese.
when I drink, my face turn red.
I don't like the thing!

Maria, this is a wonderful post! I wish I could travel those beautiful hills and see the vineyards and the far views of the city and the river Danube. It is so lovely there! You have shared such a great part of living there with us today, and I enjoyed it so much! I particularly loved the photograph with the fence on the left and the church steeple in view!

Thank you too, dear friend for your sweet comments on my last post. I always love reading a comment from you! You say the nicest things! Take care--

Hi Maria :)

What a beautiful post!

The first photo is charming. There appears to be a castle or a fort on top of the little hill. Marvellour view!

The third photo with the backdrop of the city is breath taking and mesmerising. The grapes must be very delicious.

The colourful wine leaves look enchanting.

I thouroughly enjoyed your photo selection and the wonderful trip.

Have a great day :)
