TODAY'S FLOWERS - Frosty

Here in our part of the world,
nature is covered with snow and ice.
But frost creates charming substitutes for flowers!

Great photos, especially that last one.

We don't seem to get a lot of frost here in Reno . Rather miss waking up to a frosty morning, like the ones back hom in New Zealand.

The latter is a poem in form of a picture!

Hello Maria :)

Amazing sights extolling the beauty of nature which surprises us at all times of the year clearly reminding us of the omnipresence of GOD, WHO is going out of His way to make us happy.

People walking up the narrow slopes on a frosty day leaves me astounded. I would rather prefer to sit at home and keep myself warm. But then I'm a bag of lazy bones :) and I am fully aware of the importance of vigorous exercise to keep myself fit and healty.

Incidentally, I read in the news paper that in Vienna a tourist lady travelling in a horse drawn coach with her two daughters had a very frightful experience. As she was about to get down from the coach, the horse bolted away without the coachman accros the Danube bridge and finally the carriage got disengaged from the horse and came to a stop after hitting a car. No one was hurt. The coachman was charged with drunkenness.

Very exciting place. Never a dull moment.

Cheers :)

happy new years maria!
how have you been?
Did you eat something special on New year's?
we ate soba when we were welcome to the new year.
Soba is one of Jaanese noodles.
it's really good.
and we eat it with sounds of zoo zoo. if you eat pasta with zoo zoo sounds, it would be rude.
but when you eat soba, you should eat it with this sounds.
it's interesting, right?
by the way did you get a Christmas card from me safe and sound?

Frost is great and it does curl everywhich way to make it's own flowers. Great choice. MB

Maria, a fairytale landscape, the frost bringing the trees into blossom, making bridal bouquets of wayside herbs and rarer than Orchids, ice flower carnations in the stream. I am sure there should be a children's tale to go with these if not a novel!
