Brenda's Photo Challenge - Signs of Spring?

DEFINITELY NO SIGNS OF SPRING IN DRAB VIENNA!
Try your luck at
http://www.brendaphotochallenge.blogspot.com/
to find some signs of spring somewhere else :(

I took these pictures when I went to a department store at
MARIAHILFERSTRASSE
to buy another electric heater for the cold office.
We had 13,5 ° C last week.
Why? Ask our management!

From the first photograph, I thought you went on top of a building :)

Looks grey but I always think of it as nature washing away the debris until of course snow becomes slush.

Have a great weekend Maria!

Yes, it's the top of a big warehouse at Maria Hilferstraße, Vienna's oldest shopping street.
Drab, drab, drab, as on the photo.

Great photos! I'm sending wishes that you'll soon have warming Spring breezes to melt your snow and warm your office!

Thank you Brenda, hope your good wishes come true soon :(((

Darn the drab weather! maybe you can play dress up with Dora. Will she wear something else?

Go out and take your camera with you. Drink coffee at a cafe. I wish I could sit down for a cuppa with you and maybe a chocolate. Yum. How about going to the flower shop and take photographs of those beautiful Austrian flowers?

Cheer up matey!

Whoa, so cold! Your photos are very beautiful w/ all the snow, but I'm looking for signs of spring too!!!

I really like your photos - the swans at night, all the flowers, & your city! Very beautiful shots!
I'm going to add you to my blog roll so I can visit often!

Thank you very much too, for commenting on my awards!

You know, it is not such a bad idea to start designing a bra with eight little cups for D'Ora. Haha!

We're seeing much the same but with sunshine at least until tomorrows snowstorm. I had to fall back on some of last year's spring for the challenge.

Vienna is beautiful, one way or another! This market of yours...Naschmarkt...I would like to have a walk out there! What was that shop at the last picture in the post about the market? Isn't it Greek?
My blog quarters Vienna today and I'm happy about that! I hope I'll visit you for real one day!

Hi Maria :)

Lovely photos of Spring :)

I always associated spring with sprouting plants or the first arrival of a sparrow or the flowering of lilac.

You have added some more information to my knowledge. In Vienna, Spring means melting of snow on roof tops :)

I have lived so long without seeing snow in real life. I shudder at the thought of cold season. Fortunately in Kochi we hardly have a cold season. When I was working in Bhopal, India, I had a tough time adjusting to cold season. I used to use monkey caps, gloves, room heaters etc. Now all those woolen clothes are useless and safely packed in a trunk. I don't need it now.

Many thanks for sharing. It reminded me of the difficult days I had in Bhopal. The beauty is, human beings are so fantastic that they adjust to different climates. Perhaps, people living in colder climates are tougher, stronger and more resourceful.

Have a wonderful day :)
