PS. Last month sometime I noticed the baby geese had only one parent and that went on for a few weeks and then somedays there would be two adults and sometimes not so I call the one who came to stay, Uncle Bill. I don't knw, maybe Papa came back. MB
I love your pics! The poppy is our state flower. When I was a little girl they grew wild everywhere. The hills were literally covered with them...then people began processing opium out of them (must have been the 60's) and they were exterminated...so sad.
I agree! Poppies are really gorgeous! The ones you have are the same colors the poppies in my neighbourhood have. I love the light in your photos, simply wonderful shots!
How beautiful. After seeing these, I agree they are they most beautiful flowers with their delicate petals. I showed Prince(husband) your site last evening and he was enchanted with it as much as I. Peace

Nice! Reminds me of pretty crepe paper.
These are gorgeous shots!
You've really captured the delicate petals.
I love the first shot with that touch of blue in the vase.
My flower post is here: Carletta’s Captures.

Love the poppies...wonderful, Maria!
And also the post below of the market...wonderful flowers there also...as well as fruit and veges...cherries and strawberries...ymmm...!
Its been awhile since I have seen any poppies around here. Those petals kinda remind me of colorful tissue paper. Very pretty.
All red. I like it.
Are those just sitting in your window sill? Beautiful orange colors! I missed the Poppy Reserve this year. The bright colors are just so pretty!

Great, great post.
I like this.
Yes, they are Maria. They even used here down under as a symbolic flower en memoriam for the Fallen Heroes.
They look so delicate, thin as a paper. Beautiufl indeed.
Maria they are so lovely, especially with the light shining through the petals and delineating evey vein.
You really love them. In the end I had to surrender too.
Wow, fantastic shots.
Lady Di sent me over to see your poppies. They are beautiful. Drop by my blog if you have a moment and see the photos I posted of my red ones.
Have a great day.
Blessings,
Mary
