MQ Museumsquartier in Vienna. My friend Brigitte and me not on our swf tour but at the museum! Because it was too wet! Leopold Museum, Käthe Kollwitz and Ernst Barlach A great exhibition of expressionist art.
Seattle has looked the very same way for the past several days and then this afternoon the sun came out and the skies are blue and it's actually WARM! I love your shots, rain, gray and all! Always enjoy my weekly visit to Vienna! Thanks as always, Maria!
As for rebuilding after a tornado, flood, hurricane... well, I guess the thought is that it can happen anywhere. Smart ones will build stronger or higher, but others think lightning won't strike in the same place twice... they are wrong about that too.
Jay, I tried to visit your blog - in vaine! Well, rain and the desert - we had a drizzle, mizzle, it was wonderful (for me), but everybody complains in our country about the rain :)) People who live in towns complain about the rain, and rural people love it. Most of them, at least!
Although the sky is cloudy and it is raining, I was thrilled to see some beautiful landmarks in your amazing city. Vienna is always great and fantastic, whether it rains or sunshine.
Our summer is almost going to be over and very soon monsoon will break and it will start raining in cats and dogs.
It's wet and miserable in New York too!
ReplyDeleteBuster sends love to D'Ora!
Rain refreshes the air and the plants, and we can always look forward to sunshine which is sure to follow.
ReplyDeleteIn a couple of days your Vienna will look sooo clean, lot of trees in bloom, green gras and lovely sun and sky!
ReplyDeleteI liked your shots anyway! Especially the second and last one!

ReplyDelete~Maria
A lovely rainy day to go to the museum.
ReplyDeleteraining here too, maria, til tuesday at least :(
ReplyDeletebrrrrrrrr... looks so cold! lucky with the yellow from the Enzis :)!
ReplyDeleteLucky you have the museum to go in on a rainy day. My grandkids would love to play on the yellow things (unless it is verboten).
ReplyDeleteIt still looks an enjoyable place to me despite the weather that makes the stone glow. The yellow art in the last pic was quite heavy stuff.
ReplyDeleteDa sind wir doch ein bißchen besser dran, es regnet zumindest nicht und es ist sehr warm (der Föhn macht es möglich)
ReplyDeleteLiebe Grüße und schönes Wochenende nach Wien
nice photos....we've had a lot of rain here in Texas
ReplyDeleteAlways a change of plans when it is raining. Of course it rains here A LOT. Nice shots Maria. MB
ReplyDeleteLovely even when wet. Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteWe get a lot of grey skies here. Although it is blue today.
ReplyDeleteCheers..lovely misty shots. You know..that's what I got. I'm thinking of renaming my blog on account of all the rain here? Aloha-

I love it when it rains as living in the desert, it is something we rarely see.. :-)
ReplyDeleteNice shots, especially the second one !

Hi Maria, the reason you couldn't visit my blog, was because I didn't check the posting ID and accidently posted under my husband's name :-)
ReplyDeleteThat was actually me and not 'JAY'..
Fun rainy day photos. Looks like it's going to rain this weekend also, which thunderstorms tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteHi Maria:)
