The cherry trees start blooming in Stadtpark beside the gilded bronze monument of Johann Strauß, one of the most frequently photographed monuments in Vienna.
Vienna is dressing up in spring colours and soon Johann will be standing under a beautiful floral umbrella...I love the little pink girl running in front of him, also your beautiful photos of the pictures and light your windows present.
Those trees are so wonderful when they blossom! Still a while for that in Norway - but spring is coming, and I have something beautiful to look forward too!
Wonderful blossoms! Buds, rather! I don't care, really, as long as it is not snow!! In the photo of the monument, it looked as though the bedding plants have been put out already!
Hi Maria! I'm more than delighted you enjoy seeing Japanese cherry blossoms every year. Can you drink alcohol outside in your country? In Japan we can do it. but I heard there are many countries that people can't drink alcohol outside.
I hope you'll show us with the flowers enterely opened. They're fantastic, Maria. I imagine full of flowers, pinky, poetic. The last picture is wonderful. The little feather is so delicate.
Schööön, ich stelle mir dazu noch die Walzer von Strauss vor und dann die aufblühenden Knospen, herrlich herrlich...
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos.

Even the buds of the cherry trees are so beautiful. You are lucky to be so far into spring as this and the monument is also beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThe monument to Strauss is really beautiful! I wonder how they keep it so shiny?
