TODAY'S FLOWERS - Hellebores




In our flower shops, the first spring flowers are beginning to bloom,
hesitatingly displaying their much needed colours :)

  4. I will have to post my todays flower off of a shot I took last spring or summer as none of mine are yet ready to show their smiling faces. This Hellebor is lovely.

    As for your question about Santiago de Compostela I must say I have been there for several times and that I have already wandered around some of the paths that from the north of Portugal lead there but, to be honest, I never walked there. Only by car!

  12. Lovely images and flowers. We get hellebores in the wild here. Taking macro shots of them I noticed the green part near the center of the petal is raised and in the shape of a heart. Nature is full of wonderful surprises.

    We can't even begin to think of spring for another two months at least.......
    it was 10' Farenheit yesterday.........

  24. ...ich glaub, ich muss umziehen... :), bei Dir bricht der Sommer und der Frühling gleichzeitig aus und bei uns ist das übelste graueste Wetter, das man sich vorstellen kann :). Nicht mal geeignet für Fotos! Welch hübsche Frühlingsblümchen, so zart, so zerbrechlich und so frisch, einmalig schön! Danke für den Frühling im Winter, das tut unglaulich gut!
